Issue
In PST migration process with target Office 365, a few issues can occur. This KB enlist known issues and give hints on how to solve them.
Solution
When Ingest doesn’t start without any obvious reason:
1) In case DeDup is included in workflow, and it is processing files for user, all user files must be uploaded to finish DeDup process. When deduplication for user is not finished, Ingest can’t start.
Dedup will finish user files deduplication process:

  • When all files discovered for user are uploaded
  • DeDupe timeout is over (default value is 48 hours – can be set in Settings>Environment>tab Advanced>field DeDupe timeout)

When Ingest fails:
1) No license for ingested user. Error message looks like:

Login to Office 365 with your administrator account and assign license for user.
2) No valid administrator account/password on O365
In FD there is a Error message like this:
Post Processing (PostProcessIngestOffice365Archive:6) failed for PST Id -XX: No credential / unable to load credentials QUADROtech.FlightDeck.PostProcess.SerializedException: No credentials / unable to load credentials…
Determine what credentials should be used for ingestion, test in on https://login.microsoftonline.com.
Log in as service account used for Ingestion service and enter those credentials in Credentials editor (usually located at:
c:\Program Files\QUADROtech\PST FlightDeck\Modules\Office365 Module\QUADROtech.FlightDeck.Office365.CredentialsEditor.exe).
3) When account for O365 ingestion has not sufficient rights
In FD there is a Error message like this:
Failure The account does not have permission to impersonate the request user.:QUADROtech.FlightDeck.PostProcess.SerializedException:

Use the same solution as in 2)
4) Admin account is entered in Credentials editor (usually located at:
c:\Program Files\QUADROtech\PST FlightDeck\Modules\Office365 Module\QUADROtech.FlightDeck.Office365.CredentialsEditor.exe)
but password is not entered correctly, or has been changed in mean time.
In FD there is a Error message like this:
QUADROtech.FlightDeck.PostProcess.SerializedException: The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

Renew credentials as in 2)
5) Latest experience with Microsoft Office 365 showed new error of O365 Ingest.
Error message looks like this: An internal server error occurred. The operation failed.
Solution for this issue is on Microsoft site and Microsoft support must be contacted in this case.
6) No email address or no email address at the time when AD synchronization occurred.
Error message looks like:
Post Processing (PostProcessIngesOffice365Archive:XXX) failed for PST id -YYYYYY: The Id property must be set.
QUADROtech.FlightDeck.PostProcess.SerializedException: The Id property must be set.
at QUADROtech.FlightDeck.PostProcess.GenericWorkerTask`3.Execute(CancellationToken cancellationToken, Int32 workerId)
Synchronize AD and check mailbox again.
7) Mailbox not synchronized with Office365 (in fact doesn’t have mailbox).
Post Processing (PostProcessIngesOffice365Archive:XXX) failed for PST id -YYYYYY: No mailbox with such guid.

Synchronize AD and check mailbox again. If mailbox doesn’t exist, create it.
8) User has only primary mailbox, but secondary (archive) mailbox is missing.
