Summary

It might be necessary to override the values of the parameters used in EVPM command run by the EV Provisioning Module.

Details

There is an option to modify EV Provisioning Module .exe.config file in order to change the values of

  • Exchange server domain (from version 7.10, build 28080) – parameter “-e”
  • System mailbox prefix (from version 9.6, build 39326.1) – parameter “-m”

  • Exchange server domain change

  1. Stop EV Provisioning Module service.
  2. Find .exe.config file located in the Program Files folder where EV Provisioning Module files are stored and open the file.
  3. Change the value of setting OverrideEVPMExchangeServerDOMAIN to “True” (resp. “False” in case overriding is not required).
    < setting name="OverrideEVPMExchangeServerDOMAIN" serializeAs="String">
    < value>True</ value>
    </ setting>
    - whitespace character in tags should be deleted

Change the value of setting OverrideEVPMExchangeServerDOMAINvalue to specific domain name.

    < setting name="OverrideEVPMExchangeServerDOMAINvalue" serializeAs="String">
    < value>.somewhere.com</ value>
    </ setting>
    - domain name should be preceded with a symbol '.'
    - whitespace character in tags should be deleted
  4. Start EV Provisioning Module service.

In this example, even if the Exchange Server retrieved from Enterprise Vault and checked in Active Directory is ExchangeServer1.ADomain.local, the value used when EVPM is called by the EV Provisioning Module is ExchangeServer1.somewhere.com.

  • System mailbox prefix change

  1. Stop EV Provisioning Module service.
  2. Find .exe.config file located in the Program Files folder where EV Provisioning Module files are stored and open the file.
  3. Change the value of setting EVPMSystemMailboxPrefixValue to the specific prefix, in case it should be different than “SMTP”.
    < setting name="EVPMSystemMailboxPrefixValue" serializeAs="String">
    < value>prefix</ value>
    </ setting>
    - whitespace character in tags should be deleted
  4. Start EV Provisioning Module service.
Note

In case required configuration settings cannot be found in the file, they should be added to the bottom of the file, after following setting definition:

< setting name="EVPMExecutionTimeoutMinutes" serializeAs="String">
< value>10</ value>
</ setting>

Changes of these settings can be seen in the log files in case log level is Debug or higher.
