It might be necessary to move the Archive Shuttle Directory Database. Below are the steps needed to accomplish the move.
Solution
There are a number of steps which need to be followed in order to move the database successfully. They are:
1. Stop the Archive Shuttle Modules.
2. Stop the Archive Shuttle Core Service.
3. Stop the WWW Service on the Archive Shuttle Core Server.
4. Verify now that nothing is being logged to the Archive Shuttle Core log file.
5. Backup the Archive Shuttle Directory database on the current SQL Server
– Ensure that the “backup type” is full.
6. Take the Directory database offline.
7. Copy the backup file to the new SQL Server.
8. Restore the database on to the new SQL Server.
9. Verify that data can be accessed using SQL Management Studio.
10. In the web.config file in the ‘webservices’ folder on the Archive Shuttle Core server, locate the entry for ‘ConnectionStrings’.
11. Change the Data Source to point to the new SQL Server.
12. In the web.config file in the ‘web’ folder on the Archive Shuttle Core server, locate the entry for ‘ConnectionStrings’.
13. Change the Data Source to point to the new SQL Server.
14. Restart the WWW Service.
15. Restart the Archive Shuttle Core Service.
16. Restart the Archive Shuttle Modules.
17. Verify that data is being logged to the Archive Shuttle Core log file.
18. Start a new web browser session, and verify that the console opens and works as expected.
