It might be necessary to move an Archive Shuttle Item Database. Below are the steps needed to accomplish the move.
Solution
There are a number of steps which need to be followed in order to move the database(s) successfully. They are:
1. Stop the Archive Shuttle Modules.
2. Stop the Archive Shuttle Core Service.
3. Stop the WWW Service on the Archive Shuttle Core Server.
4. Verify now that nothing is being logged to the Archive Shuttle Core log file.
5. Backup the Item Databases which need to be moved.
– Ensure that the ‘backup type’ is full.
6. Backup the Archive Shuttle Directory database.
– Ensure that the ‘backup type’ is full.
7. Take the Item databases offline.
8. Copy the Item Database backups to the new SQL Server.
9. Restore the databases on the new SQL Server.
10. Verify that data can be accessed using SQL Management Studio.
11. Open the Archive Shuttle Directory database, and EDIT the ‘LinkDatabaseConnection’ table rows.
12. Change the ‘SQL Server Name’ column to the new SQL Server Name.
13. Restart the WWW Service.
14. Restart the Archive Shuttle Core Service.
15. Restart the Archive Shuttle Modules.
16. Verify that data is being logged to the Archive Shuttle Core log file.
17/ Start a new web browser session, and verify that the console opens and works as expected.
