Cloud Commander can be hosted in either a customers Azure tenant, or a Quadrotech Azure tenant. In every migration there are also source environments and target environments, there can be more on than of each in any given migration.
Data (eg the actual items to be migrated) and metadata (eg ID-like information, and size, date/time) is used during a migration.
It is important to note that only metadata is stored by Cloud Commander, not the actual items themselves. This means that if Cloud Commander is hosted in any given Azure tenant, there is only metadata stored in that instance. The actual items are exported from the source environment into memory, and immediately imported in to the target without any kind of conversion. This means that the real item-level data is transferred without a man-in-the-middle approach, it is direct from the source to the target.
